Word from the Course Director

Dr. Andrea Janeková, MD, FEBO, FEBOS-CR

Head Physician of the Cataract, Refractive, and Vitreoretinal Surgery Center

“As someone who has dedicated her career to both complex eye surgery and education, I am deeply honoured to lead iSCOPE: Prague Ophthalmic Wetlab. With over a decade of experience in ophthalmic surgery, I’ve performed thousands of intraocular procedures – including cataract, refractive, vitreous & retinal surgeries, and glaucoma operations.

My exposure to international training environments — from advanced wetlabs to global congresses — has reinforced for me that surgical excellence depends not only on what you know, but how confidently you apply your skills. This course with MTS – The Wetlab Company brings together that high standard of hands-on learning in a setting designed for precision, mentorship, and real growth.

For young ophthalmic surgeons, this course is more than training — it’s an invitation to step forward, refine your technique, learn from leading experts, and ultimately make a difference in patients’ lives. I look forward to welcoming you in Prague and seeing what you will achieve.”

Introduction

iSCOPE: Prague Ophthalmic Wetlab brings together leading international experts and passionate young ophthalmic surgeons for a unique educational experience in the heart of Europe.

Through highly focused wetlab modules, participants will practice essential surgical techniques in cataract surgery, vitrectomy, keratoplasty (DMEK/DSAEK), and secondary IOL implantation techniques. Each course is built around hands-on training, small-group teaching, and direct supervision from experienced faculty.

Our mission is simple: to empower the next generation of eye surgeons with confidence, precision, and surgical excellence.
