1. What is iSCOPE?
iSCOPE (International Surgical Course in Ophthalmology Prague) is a hands-on wetlab designed to train and support the next generation of ophthalmic surgeons. The focus is 100% practical surgical training on porcine eyes, guided by experienced international instructors.
2. Who can participate?
The course is intended for residents, fellows, early-career ophthalmologists, and surgeons at both beginner and advanced levels. Modules are tailored to different stages of surgical training.
3. What course modules are available?
Participants can choose from four modules:
- Cataract Surgery – Basic & Advanced
- Vitrectomy
- DMEK (Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty)
- Secondary IOL Implantation Techniques
4. What language is the course conducted in?
The official language of iSCOPE is English. All lectures, demonstrations, and instructions will be delivered in English.
5. Where will iSCOPE take place?
The course will be held at the Grandium Hotel Prague, a modern conference venue in the city center, just a few minutes from Prague’s main train station and historic Old Town.
6. Is accommodation included in the registration fee?
Accommodation is not included. However, participants can book a stay at the Grandium Hotel at a special discounted rate or choose from many nearby hotels in different price ranges.
7. How do I register?
Registration is available online through the iSCOPE website. For group registrations from the same institution, please contact info@iscope.cz. Registration closes on September 15, 2026.
8. Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Each participant will receive an official certificate of completion at the Gala Dinner and Diploma Ceremony at the end of the course.
9. Are there social or networking events?
Yes. The program includes a Gala Dinner and Diploma Ceremony, an optional Guided Tour of Historic Prague, and an Eye Centre Prague clinic tour. These events offer excellent opportunities for informal networking.
