Dr. Yvonne Nowosielski is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Cataract & Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the University Eye Hospital Innsbruck, Austria, where she is also a tenure-track faculty member. Her clinical expertise spans cataract and vitreoretinal surgery, with a strong focus on retinal and vascular eye diseases.
Alongside her surgical practice, Dr. Nowosielski holds several senior clinical responsibilities at the University Eye Hospital Innsbruck. She serves as Head of the Diabetes and Vascular Clinic and Head of the Retina Outpatient Clinic, as well as Senior Ward Consultant. She is also responsible for the hospital’s Premature Infant Screening Program.
Dr. Nowosielski is actively involved in ophthalmic education and surgical training. Since 2022, she has trained and supervised residents and junior ophthalmologists in cataract surgery and vitrectomy, and since 2023 she has been a lecturer in the elective course Ophthalmic and Microsurgery. She also supervises diploma theses.
