Why to join iSCOPE

1.

100% Practical Training

This wetlab is dedicated entirely to surgical practice. With minimal theory, the program focuses on real surgical steps performed on porcine eyes. All instructors will guide you toward hands-on mastery of essential surgical skills. Participants can look forward to up to 30 hours of hands-on time in the wet lab.

2.

Experienced Instructors

Our faculty members share key qualities: highly skilled surgeons with thousands of intraocular surgeries and hundreds of instructional hours behind them. They remember their own beginnings and are committed to passing on their expertise — a rare and valuable quality today.

3.

Intensive & Proven Format

The structure and intensity of the course guarantee results. Even if you are a complete beginner, by the end you will be able to perform all key steps of surgery. This model has been successfully tested and refined over years of training.

4.

Investment in Your Future

If you want to invest in your surgical education and career development, this course is an unparalleled opportunity

5.

Informal Networking with Faculty

Beyond the wetlab, you will have the chance to connect with instructors on a personal level. Informal conversations and exchanges bring inspiration not only professionally, but also personally.

6.

Visit to an extensive facility based on lean management principles

The program includes a guided tour of an extensive diagnostic center and surgical eye clinic – one of the leading ophthalmology facilities in Central Europe. You will see lean management in action and explore how digitalization and AI are transforming modern ophthalmology.

7.

Discover Prague

Prague is one of the most beautiful European capitals. Alongside training, you can enjoy a guided city tour, social events, and the gala evening with diploma ceremony on Friday.

8.

International Community of Peers

You will train and connect with fellow residents and young surgeons from across Europe — Germany, Austria, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and beyond. This diversity fosters knowledge exchange, friendships, and long-term professional networks.

9.

Collaboration with MTS – The Wetlab Company

All wetlabs are provided in cooperation with MTS – The Wetlab Company GmbH, a leading organizer of surgical wetlabs at international congresses including ESCRS, ASCRS, AAO, EURETINA, etc. MTS brings its world-class expertise to Prague for the very first time.
