1. Cataract Surgery Course - Basic

Covers primarily basic phacoemulsification techniques with optional advanced techniques.

Covers both standard and advanced phacoemulsification techniques

3. Vitrectomy Surgery Course

Total participants: 20
Number of wetlab stations: 10
Focus on core vitrectomy techniques with hands-on practice using high-fidelity simulators and/or porcine eyes

4. Keratoplasty Surgery – DMEK/DSAEK Course

Total participants: 10
Number of wetlab stations: 5
Dedicated training in Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK/DSAEK), including graft preparation and implantation

15 hours of hands-on time in the wet lab (work with human tissues)

5. Secondary IOL Implantation Techniques

Focus on advanced secondary IOL fixation methods, including the Yamane technique, flange technique, Artisan/Verisyse lenses.

What is included in the registration fee?

Your registration fee for iSCOPE: Prague Ophthalmic Wetlab includes everything you need for a complete educational and social experience, except accommodation:

  • Full participation in the selected wetlab module (unlimited access to surgical practice with porcine eyes)
  • Comprehensive educational materials and course documentation
  • Daily catering during the wetlab: two coffee breaks and lunch each day
  • Optional but fully included social and networking activities, such as:
     
    • Evening Guided Tour of Historic Prague
    • Guided Clinic Tour – visit to a diagnostic and surgical eye clinic based on the principles of lean management (optional)
    • Breakfast with experts – video breakfast to support surgical skills (optional)
    • Gala Dinner and Diploma Ceremony, followed by networking and social evening

⚠️ Please note: The registration fee does not include accommodation or travel expenses.

Special accommodation rates are available at the congress hotel (Grandium Hotel Prague), where the course will be held.

CME / Credit Accreditation

This educational activity will be accredited for CME credits via a recognized European accreditation body (e.g. EACCME / UEMS). Participants attending the course in full will be eligible to claim continuing medical education credits in accordance with the standards of European and national accreditation authorities.

Please note: only the educational portion of the event (lectures, demonstration, wetlab sessions) qualifies for CME credit—not accommodation or social events. Participants must complete any required forms or evaluations to receive their credit certificate.

Note: The Basic & Advanced Phaco courses and the Vitrectomy course will start on Wednesday, October 14, 2025. The DMEK/DSAEK and Secondary IOL Implantation Techniques courses will start on Thursday, October 15, 2025. The daily schedule is shown for the Basic and Advanced Cataract Course, but the timing of the days is the same for all courses.
